GFE´s complete consulting services world-wide: Technical Assistance to institutions, investment and trade promotion, studies, project evaluation, management workshops, delegation of managers, rehabilitation of companies, vocational training, PPP, conferences and exhibitions.
Founded in 1979 by Ulrich Daldrup, GFE grew in little time to one of the
leading consulting companies in Germany and in Europe. One year after its foundation,
German Ministry of Economic Co-operation concluded contracts worth four Million DM with
GFE for regional development projects in Kenya, Somalia and Haiti. This was the
breakthrough of GFE´s successful development. In 1981 the European Commission, the United
Nations UNIDO, UNDP and UNHCR counted among the clients of GFE.

The reorganisation of ministries, privatisation of state owned companies, temporarily management, delegation of experts, rehabilitation of companies, organisation of conferences, studies and workshops, GFE has a broad range of activities.

REGIONAL
DEVELOPMENT
Regional development projects, as in Haiti. In the North-West of Haiti GFE has constructed hundreds kilometres of feeder roads to access remote villages, planted up to 100.000 trees per year to stabilise the destroyed environment, realised hundreds of ha of irrigation schemes and have established schools for the children. This project was funded directly by German BMZ. Other similar projects were realised by GFE in many African countries e.g. in Tunisia and in Kenya.
HUMANITARIAN AID
Food Security Programs and Humanitarian Aid by GFE in Northern Kenya, funded by German BMZ. Other help programs of GFE were realised in Somalia, Tanzania, Gaza, Haiti, Azerbaijan, Macedonia and Pakistan.
ASSISTANCE TO SMALL SCALE INDUSTRIES, INSTITUTION BUILDING
In Fez, Morocco, GFE has realised the first Moroccan Chamber of Handicrafts following European standards and profiles. This 8 Million EURO project with a duration of 10 years brought a completely new politics to the SME sector in Morocco, including new legislation and independence to the sector. The Chamber includes also a Vocational Training Centre, offering up-grade and basic training to some 1.000 handicrafts per year.
The Centre was inaugurated by Philipp Jenninger, at the time President of the German Parliament.
INDUSTRIAL
AND ECONOMIC CO-OPERATION
GFE is one of Europe´s leading Conference Makers. Since 1979 the European Commission contracts GFE´s services to organise one of the biggest and most important business meetings between Africa and the European Union: The Forum of Investors. This Forum is held every year in another place in Africa, as in Dakar, Accra, Yaoundé or Libreville. GFE organises Conferences , Fora, Exhibitions and all kind of meetings world-wide.
CONFERENCES, TRADE FAIRS, INTERNATIONAL MEETINGS
The Prime Minister of Mozambique, H.E. Mucombe during his address at the GLOBAL PANEL 1997 in Aachen. GFE is a major organiser and sponsor of the GLOBAL PANEL Conference. Other key-note speakers at the GLOBAL PANEL have been the Presidents of the United States of America, of Romania, of Hungary, the King and the Crown Prince of Jordan, the Prime Ministers of France, the Netherlands, Malaysia, Russia, Ivory Coast, Lithuania etc. Also heads of companies as from Daimler-Chrysler (1998), Nokia, Unilever, Shell, Philips etc have addressed important speeches on these annual conferences in Aachen, the city of GFE.
TRADE AND INVESTMENT PROMOTION
A promotion mission of European entrepreneurs to Mauritius organised by GFE. GFE promotes Trade, Exports and Investments in some 50 countries. Millions of EURO of investment and of trade are the outcome of these efforts.
VOCATIONAL TRAINING and SME PROMOTION
One of the two Vocational Training Centres of the Handwerkskammer Rhein-Main in Frankfurt. The Handwerkskammer is partner of GFE since 1985. GFE is in charge of all international operations of this Chamber. The Chamber is among the 10 largest Chambers in Germany and represents 24.000 companies in the Frankfurt area.
