In
1998 and 1999 GFE realized a survey covering all EU member countries
related to the “Role of Guidance in Tackling long-term
unemployment”. This survey had been realized for and funded by the
European Commission DG V, together with four other partner companies.
From
2000 to 2003 GFE was contracted by German Kreditanstalt für
Wiederaufbau (KfW) in frame of the Transform Programme to introduce a
regional development policy in Latvia with the objective to prepare the
administrative and political structures of that country to work
with the European Structural Funds.
From
2002 to 2004 GFE was contracted by German Kreditanstalt für
Wiederaufbau (KfW) in frame of the Transform Programme to assist the
Latvian Ministry of Finance to draft the “Single Programming Document
(SPD)”, that forms the basis for the funding through ESF and ERDF till
2007.
From
2002 to 2004 GFE was contracted by German Kreditanstalt für
Wiederaufbau (KfW) in frame of the Transform Programme to assist the
Latvian Ministry of Regional Development and Local Governments to draft
an handbook on the use of EU Structural funds and to train executives of
that ministry and of local Governments is the management of these funds.
From
2002 to 2004 GFE was contracted by German Kreditanstalt für
Wiederaufbau (KfW) in frame of the Transform Programme to grant direct
political advice to two Ministers related to planning, decision making
and management of European Structural Funds.
From
2001 to 2003 GFE was contracted by EU/PHARE to advise the Maribor
Chamber of Commerce and Industry an Slovenia in the management of
European Structural Funds, Cross-boarder cooperation and the European
Single Market.
From
1979 till April 2004 GFE realized a number of conferences and workshops
in all new EU-member countries in order to train executives in the
management of EU Structural Funds.
From
2003 to 2004 GFE was contracted in frame of a EU funded Twinning Project
to develop and formulate the procedures for the use and management of EU
Interreg III funds in the three Baltic countries. Part of this contract
was to prepare the Interreg Secretariat and to train the executives.
